Across International Vacuum Hot Press Furnace
1500°C 5-Ton Vacuum Hot Press Furnace with Molybdenum Heating

The VHPF-M-16-15 vacuum hot press furnace integrates high-vacuum processing, controlled-atmosphere operation, high-temperature heating, and precision uniaxial pressing in one system. It is intended for hot pressing and sintering of powder metallurgy materials, functional ceramics, transparent ceramics, industrial ceramics, metal powders, cemented carbides, and other advanced materials. Applying pressure during high-temperature vacuum or inert-atmosphere processing promotes densification and can reduce porosity in the processed material.

The system features a maximum operating temperature of 1500°C, maximum pressing force of 5 tons, 60 mm press ram, intelligent PID temperature control, touchscreen/PLC operation, and a high-vacuum pumping system.

Applications
  • Powder metallurgy materials
  • Functional ceramics
  • Transparent ceramics
  • Industrial ceramics
  • Cemented carbide materials
  • Metal and alloy powders
  • Advanced functional materials
  • Materials research and process development

Key Features

  • Double-wall stainless steel chamber with water cooling to reduce external surface temperature.
  • Side-opening furnace door for convenient loading and unloading.
  • Fixed upper ram helps compact and shape material during pressing.
  • Reciprocating lower ram with pressing accuracy up to ±1 kg.
  • 7-inch touchscreen interface for centralized operation.
  • PLC control with pressure-calculation program: the operator enters the mold/ram diameter and the system calculates the corresponding material pressure and pressing force.
  • Programmable ram travel with travel-limit protection to prevent excessive pressing.
  • Molybdenum resistance heating for a uniform thermal field.
  • Compact laboratory/R&D configuration.

Hot-Press Mold
The high-temperature mold unit is manufactured from high-purity graphite and is specified for a maximum working pressure of 50 MPa. Mold dimensions and required pressing force should be selected according to the sample geometry and application.

Hydraulic Pressing System
The furnace uses an electric hydraulic pressing system. Pressing force and ram speed can be set from the touchscreen. A pressure sensor provides feedback; when the programmed pressure is reached, the drive automatically stops. The control system can automatically regulate pressure and provide pressure-maintaining and pressure-holding functions.

Temperature Control System

  • 30-segment programmable intelligent PID temperature control.
  • Over-temperature protection and thermocouple-break protection.
  • Automatic heater-circuit shutdown in the event of over-temperature or thermocouple failure.
  • RS-485 communication interface (software optional).
  • Power-failure resume/restart function.
  • Automatic temperature self-tuning.
  • Alternative controller configurations shown in the source include FP93 and Eurotherm controllers; these should be treated as optional/upcharge configurations unless otherwise confirmed.
