The AIVAF-300 metal melting furnace stands as a compact arc melting furnace, adept at transforming alloy ingots through multiple smelting cycles while preserving the controlled atmosphere intact. It facilitates the preparation of numerous samples concurrently, making it an optimal apparatus for universities and research institutes engaged in the creation of refractory metal and metal carbide samples.

Vacuum suction casting device

The vacuum suction casting device can produce metal rods measuring 5mm in diameter and 65mm in length.

Through air pumping from the copper mold, the molten metal swiftly fills the mold, yielding a metal rod with minimal shrinkage porosity.

Key features

1.   An observation window is positioned at the front, with LED lighting installed at the rear of the cavity to enhance visibility into the arc melting process.

2.   The vacuum chamber, copper crucible, and arc starting electrode are all water-cooled to maintain optimal operating temperatures.

3.   Employing a steering wheel design for vertical movement, coupled with a flexible joystick operation, ensures ease of maneuverability.

4.   To preserve the gas shielding atmosphere while flipping alloy ingots for multiple smelting cycles, a manipulator turning mechanism is integrated into the melting furnace.

5.   With its compact size and numerous crucibles, the furnace facilitates the creation of multiple samples while preventing cross-contamination.

6.   Equipped with a suction casting device at the bottom, the furnace can produce metal rods with a diameter of 5mm

Electromagnetic stirring

The equipment features an electromagnetic stirring function, with electromagnetic stirrers situated at three surrounding stations. The principle behind electromagnetic stirring involves energizing a coil to generate a magnetic field, which prompts movement of the molten metal within the magnetic field.

Vacuum chamber

The water-cooled vacuum chamber is sized Dia300X340, featuring a convenient 200mm diameter door for easy feeding and sampling. Additionally, the furnace door is equipped with an observation window measuring 80mm in diameter, allowing for easy monitoring of the arc melting process. To aid in flipping alloy ingots, a manipulator is positioned on the right side of the cavity.

Tungsten electrode

• The tungsten electrode, with a diameter of 10 mm, is utilized in the arc gun and can be water-cooled. This electrode is a non-self-consumable tungsten arc needle.

• The angle and distance between the electrode and the sample are adjustable, with a maximum adjustment distance of 80mm.

• The equipment is capable of reaching a maximum temperature of 3000℃.
